Summer is here and that means its time to celebrate the birth of our great country.
The Achasta community will be celebrating our nation’s birthday with its very own cart / bike parade and feast. The Grille at Achasta will host this celebratory event with a buffet style feast followed a by live band.
Residents of the Achasta community are invited to participate in this summer’s Couples Golf Tournament Series played right here on our Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course in the heart of Achasta.
Our first tournament of this series was played on June 6. Winners included Mary and Lee Flowers and Anne and Doug Mannis. The tournament was a 9-hole scramble followed by a dinner at the Achasta clubhouse.
The 4th of July is just around the corner and there will be plenty to do up here in the North Georgia Mountain area.
Achasta residents will have a great opportunity to participate in a fun and educational event this month in some of the many creeks here at the Achasta community.
The local 4H Center will be paying a special visit to Achasta the morning of June 18, 9:00 am to noon. They will be leading a discovery tour of the diverse ecosystem of the Achasta creeks.

This month’s RiverFest event at Achasta will be full of family fun and outdoor adventure. Activities will begin around 4:00 pm on June 18 and last until 8:00 pm that evening.
Activities include gold panning, canoeing, horseshoes, and more. Along with these fun-filled activities will be food from the Parkside grill including S’mores for dessert. This month’s event will also include special guests from the surrounding North Georgia Mountain area.
The Goldrush Trout Unlimited chapter, Richard’s Custom Walking Sticks and Steve’s Jellies and Birdhouses will all be in attendance to participate in all of the fun.
Back by popular demand, Choppy and Betty Bourgeosis’ famous Low Country Boil is just around the corner.
Thursday, June 3 at 6:30 pm, residents will have the chance to gather with friends and families to enjoy some fine summertime cooking. This is a family style meal that you won’t want to miss out on.

It’s that time of year again. The rodeo is coming to the North Georgia Mountains for the 20th Annual Mountain Top Rodeo at R-Ranch In The Mountains. Filled with all of the competitive action of the rodeo circuit, this isn’t just a festival; it’s a competition of world-class riders.
