The Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course here at Achasta is a fully certified Audubon golf course.

For those unfamiliar with Audubon certification, we would like to explain the certification and what it means for golfers who play at Achasta.

The Audubon certification represents the seamless unison of golf and nature. During the certification process, every aspect of course design is weighed against the possible environmental implications it may cause. By doing this, certified courses can guarantee the preservation of nature and wildlife while also providing a wonderful golf experience for the avid player.

We strive to maintain a high level of natural preservation with any upgrades or alterations made to the course. Maintaining of the surrounding wildlife is a top priority along with providing a world-class golfing experience.

We think that the natural wildlife inside and around our course enhances the golfing experience. By providing a natural environment, players are not only getting an amazing golf course design, but also the pleasure of experiencing the natural beauty of the North Georgia Mountains.

We strive to preserve the natural surroundings in not only our golf course, but with everything we do in regard to the outdoors. We view nature as an important resource and an amenity for our residents and guests. It’s one of the things that make life at Achasta great and we want to be sure to preserve it as much as possible.
