Support Relay For Life This Weekend
On March 26, Achasta residents and Dahlonega community members can experience a night of fun with friends and family while supporting a very worthy cause. This year’s Relay For Life will be held at the Lumpkin County High School Track. Events will begin around 7 p.m. and will last until 7 a.m.
What Is Relay For Life?
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a 12-hour event where teams are asked to take turns walking or running around a track throughout the night. Teams must have a participant on the track at all times. The idea is that cancer never sleeps neither will the participants.
Relay For Life is a great opportunity for the North Georgia community to help celebrate those individuals who are battling cancer or have lost loved ones. It is also a chance for the community to help raise awareness and support for a worthy cause.
There will be multiple ceremonies throughout the evening that will honor those who have battled and supported the cancer battle. The Fight Back Ceremony will be a time for relay participants to make personal commitments to start helping the fight against cancer.
Relay For Life is a great opportunity for community members to come out for a night of fun and to lend a helping hand.
