Did you know that local North Georgia Mountain musicians gather every week for a traditional music jam?  They have been coming together for these jams for almost 100 years.

If you were unaware of these impromptu concerts and enjoy the historically rich culture of mountain music then The Crimson Moon Café will surely become a weekly stop for you, your family, and friends.

Every Sunday afternoon around 2:00 p.m. locals gather around to hear some of the area’s finest musicians play along with anyone who desires to make music. Traditionally, anyone who wants to join in can and professional musicians are there to back participants up and help create that real mountain music jam sound.

Most of the songs played at the jams are of the bluegrass, country, American folk, or old time genre. While participants will likely play the native music of the mountains, all traditional American music is welcome. It is also rumored that the owner of The Crimson Moon Café will often jump on stage for a few songs.

A trip to this mountain music jam is a great way to round out your weekend. With its combination of regional history and its fun atmosphere, a Sunday afternoon is a great way to enjoy some of the areas most talented musicians and cut loose before the beginning of the week.
