The Mountain Flower Art Festival Is Coming Up
For over 20 years, Dahlonega’s historic town square has been the scene for one of the region’s favorite spring events, the Mountain Flower Art Festival.
Every year a number of fine, local artists display their work for the community to see. The festival is a juried collection of art right in the heart of the scenic mountain town.
The festival is a celebration of fine arts and crafts from the area but also the blooming of the beautiful mountain wildflowers.
Some of the featured artwork will be from watercolors, painters, silversmiths, photographers, and weavers.
In addition to the juried selection of art, the Dahlonega Master Gardeners will be having their annual plant sale, a wildflower display, workshops, and a garden expo. The Garden Expo will be held at Hancock Park and will include a large plant and seed sale. Speakers will also be discussing various gardening and plant topics.
The Mountain Flower Art Festival is one of the region’s favorite festivals and its one that you don’t want to miss. Things get started around 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 15 and will wrap up around 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Dahlonega Arts Council makes this festival possible every year.
