The North Georgia College & State University here in the North Georgia Mountains offers some unique programs that cater to the area’s diverse interests.

Creative learning courses are offered during the summer that include lessons in guitar, piano, strings, woodwinds, and percussions. In addition to creative learning, the college also offers special recreation courses that include organized trips for students. In September, participants will experience “Autumn in New England”, a trip to Vermont, Maine, and Boston. Those making the trip will get to see the beautiful colors of a New England Fall as they tour several states and stop at unique destinations along the way. Later in October is the “Under the Tuscan Sun” trip. This 13-day trip will take its participants all the way to Rome to experience winery tours, Michelangelo’s David, and a six-day stay in Tuscany.

For those looking for something more serious than a hobby or a trip, the college’s certified programs include Legal Assistant, Veterinary Assistant, Creative Writing, and Leadership Programs.
