Linger Longer Living is bringing a very special exhibit of artwork to Achasta this month as part of its Linger Longer Living series.  This month residents will have the unique opportunity to see natural artwork at the “Spirits from Nature” art showing. 

Barbara Odil is a renowned artist who draws her inspiration from nature and native cultures.  Odil resides in a hardwood forest allowing her to draw inspiration for her work daily.  Although she started at a young age by making jewelry and metalworking, she now focuses on figurative sculptures.   Her work is made of wild harvest materials she collects from nature.  These figures are a celebration of the natural world and Achasta residents will have the unique opportunity to see Odil’s work and meet her.

“Spirits from Nature” will start at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2010.  She will be displaying her work at the Achasta Clubhouse and those interested should RSVP at www.ahcasta.net.
