The 2010 Ideal Living Home’s strong dedication to sustainable construction and design required a careful selection of its vendors and their products.  Through a strenuous selection process Johnna Barrett of SUSTAIN house and the builders of Linger Longer Homes decided that Orchid Ceramics would fill the home’s tile needs.

Established in 2002, Orchid Ceramics distributes high-quality green products throughout the U.S. to homebuilders and owners looking for healthy and sustainable tile options.

Orchid Ceramics understand that a “green” claim is not a trend but a real responsibility. It continues to look for ways to reduce its impact on the environment while maintaining a high quality and attractive product.  This is done by reducing the thickness of the tile which reduces the use of raw material, energy consumption, and fuel while continuing to maintain the integrity of the product.  During the manufacturing process, 68% of generated waste is reused in varying processes throughout the production.  The company also reuses 100% of all water used in the production process.

Orchid Ceramics offers a full-line of porcelain and ceramic floor, wall, and countertop tiles. It also offers a complete package of trims and accents for the entire home.
